Amy Higgins is an experienced professional specializing in building restoration and decorative finishes, with expertise spanning decorative painting, gilding, plaster and mold making, terra cotta repair, and precise architectural color matching.

She has also worked in painting conservation as a technician, carefully executing treatments in accordance with established conservation guidelines.

Amy’s career began in professional theatre as a scenic artist, where she developed the technical craftsmanship and large-scale finishing skills that continue to inform her restoration work today. She holds two degrees from Penn State University and has extensive experience working both as an independent contractor and as part of large project teams on complex restoration projects.

Based in Los Angeles since 2000, Amy brings a deep respect for historic materials and traditional techniques to every project.
