Under the direction of KC Restoration, the decorative plaster ceiling in the dining room was repaired and painted along with the frieze on the side walls. In the grand staircase we painted a decorative ceiling with gradation to the center. A faux leather technique was used in the library. The home was designed by the architectural firm of Hudson & Munsell. Dr. MacGowan was the first commissioner of the Los Angeles Health Department. 1912.
